Nice tips! There a lot of guitar lessons online but the one I prefer is Learn and Master Guitar by Steve Krenz. It's a comprehensive video tutorials that will teach you on how to play the guitar from basic to advance topics. The also have a community where you can interact with other beginners and discuss each others progress. Steve Krenz used to post some more of his tips at his blog - Guitar Lessons blog.
